Today, OE9TEV Tobias and DC5AJ Alexander went to OE9XVV site in Dünserberg. The repeater is a Quantar P25 upgraded with a V24 board sent by F1SHS Pierre  from Paris. Now the repeater is connected with F1ZPQ in Paris with DB0MON and DB0AVR in Aachen area. This network is registering 39 P25 repeaters around the world (USA, UK, New Zealand, Australia, France, Germany, Austria) and 128 users. The network is used for radio expert, as the technology isn’t so easy to setup. The ID used for repeaters and users are the same as DMR.

P25 radio audio quality is in a high level of Motorola specifications, because it is used in military or government application. Today, the network is using P25 phase 1 FDMA C4FM (IMBE / 9600 Bds).

This network is part of our new project P25-FRANCE (p25-france.org) hosted by DR@F – Digital Radioamateur France.

Radioamateur depuis les années 90, j'ai commencé par faire quelques expérimentations en BLU. J'ai beaucoup appris avec le hack d'équipements de radiotéléphonie pour créer des répéteurs FM. J'ai découvert le numérique avec le P25 en 2002 à Dayton. Avec un groupe d'amis (F4ACD, F1UOT), nous avons créé l'association DR@F en 2009 pour faire évoluer la réglementation. Nous avions alors obtenu satisfaction en 2013, avec un accès pour tous les radioamateurs au numérique et aux connexions Internet.
